My view
One of my favorite genres is Literary Fiction, but sometimes it is difficult to read and follow all the stories. Therefore, I decided to listen instead of reading those books. I really enjoyed the narrator, as well as the characters in the book. It took me sometime, but it was a pleasant experience.
The author took the time to develop the characters as well as the settings in which they interacted. The book is well-written and allows some space for interpretation. It sometimes read (listen) as a group of short stories with Marina as a recurring character.
I think this will be a great book for a Fan Fiction writer to create a sequel or even a prequel. It has enough information to write at least two more book. Overall a good and interesting read.
What I liked the most
I really enjoyed the settings descriptions. Sometimes I felt if I was seating on Marina’s shoulder watching the story develop.
I wanted more of
As always, I wanted more love. I wanted to know more about Marina’s and Mr. Fox relationship. Especially what happened after she returned.
Who should read it
Anyone interested in Literary Fiction and/or character driven books.
